Kevin J.D. Ridley, Ph.D., P.Eng., P.Geo. is President of Red Lea Environmental Corporation (“Red Lea”).  Red Lea is an Ontario Corporation registered to practice Professional Engineering in Ontario in accordance with the provisions of the Professional Engineers Act (Certificate of Authorization #100110928).

 

Red Lea is a 100% Canadian-owned environmental consulting firm founded by Dr. Ridley in March 2006.  Kevin was Managing Partner, Director and President of a major, privately-held international consulting firm managing and coordinating their environmental operations in Canada.  He also provided expertise to their multinational client base throughout North America especially in characterizing and remediation of sites contaminated with organic and/or inorganic chemical parameters.


Dr. Ridley has also prepared peer review reports and presentations for legal proceedings including testimony as an expert witness (Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Municipal Board and a tribunal of 3 judges regarding an arbitration matter concerning environmental issues at a sensitive site with off-site impacts located in a major western Canadian city).

 

He is registered as a “Qualified Person” (“QP”) with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (“MECP”) for creating and submitting a Record of Site Condition (“RSC”) in the Brownfields Environmental Site Registry in accordance with the requirements set out in Ontario Regulation 153/04 under the Environmental Protection Act (as amended).

 

Red Lea's focus is to assist law firms, insurance and private sector companies, and other environmental consulting firms with projects and reduce their potential to risks and liabilities associated with environmental matters. Red Lea achieves this through personal attention in a small consulting firm setting.
